What will you be doing as a Software Engineer?

As a Software Engineer, you work within multidisciplinary teams on software solutions that are part of complete mechatronic systems. You are involved from development to implementation - in the lab and at the customer's site.

• Design and development of software for industrial automation systems, focusing on quality control and processing;
• Integrate software with hardware components such as controllers, actuators and networks;
• Testing and validating software in our development lab and at customer sites;
• Actively participate and contribute to product development and optimization, e.g. our own STAQ system;
• Analyze data and optimize systems based on insights from testing and usage;
• Collaborate with colleagues from various disciplines to deliver innovative solutions and improvement projects.

What are you going to work with?

• Machine software close to hardware (such as controllers, sensors, actuators);
• Industrial networking and protocols (TCP/IP, EtherCAT, OPCUA);
• Motion control, I/O integration and vision technology;
• Development of robotic applications;
• Python, C/C++ or other systems-oriented languages;
• Tools for testing, version control and software deployment;
• Data analysis within project and product development.

This is what you bring as a Software Engineer

• HBO/WO working and thinking level in Embedded Systems, Software Engineering or Mechatronics or similar;  
• 2-5 years of software development experience;
• Affinity for industrial automation is a plus;
• Knowledge of standards and norms in industrial environments;
• A proactive and inquisitive work ethic;
• Customer-oriented attitude, a true team player and strong communicator.
