Who is STAQ® for?

STAQ® was developed for manufacturers who need a scalable solution for flexible automation and who are facing:
- a shortage of staff,
- the loss of critical expertise,
- difficulty meeting demand,
- unnecessary energy consumption,
- disappointing sales,
- ensuring quality.‍‍

Let's See, Think, Act

STAQ® is an AI-driven control software that combines Vision AI, cameras, sensors, and robotics to intelligently automate a wide range of processes. The innovative STAQ® framework stands for “See, Think, Act by QING” and translates human actions into technology. This automates manual processes, regardless of the diversity and fragility of both the product and the environment.

This is how STAQ® translates this human approach into technology:

See

The system observes products with camera techniques, such as 2D-vision, 3D-vision or line scanning to accurately analyze them.

1
Think

Thanks to AI, the system understands complex situations and makes decisions, such as quality control, sorting or recognizing product characteristics.

2
Act

The robot performs actions based on these decisions. By collecting data and continuously learning from previous actions, the system is becoming smarter and more efficient.

3

Why STAQ®?

STAQ® acts as a bridge between data and execution. The system collects and interprets parameters such as machine settings, quality data, and product specifications. It then translates this information directly into optimal control of the production process.

With STAQ®, you invest in flexible, future-proof production and strengthen your competitive position by:

  • more efficient processes for maximum productivity,
  • constant quality; every time,
  • lower costs thanks to smart automation,
  • flexibility to respond quickly to change requirements,
  • and faster production without sacrificing precision.

Agrophoenix - automated sorting process of peaches

At Agrophoenix, staff shortages and varying product quality were causing high costs and inefficiencies. Using STAQ, the Greek peach processor developed an AI-driven quality and sorting system for it, which analyzes peaches with high accuracy, recognizes deviations and sorts them out. After two successful seasons with one STAQ system, Agrophoenix is now expanding to a fully automated process with eight systems.

‍Result with 8 systems:

  • 500,000 peaches per hour inspection quality
  • Maximum of 80 picks per minute per robot
  • 97% pick rate and 85% higher quality response rate
  • Saving 50 FTE of manual labor per day

Bolletje - Building a future-ready production line

Bolletje was running into staff shortages and an aging workforce, resulting in knowledge loss and pressure on production capacity. QING developed a sorting system on the STAQ platform that automatically detects and sorts out defective rusks. This solution goes beyond sorting alone: the system also analyzes the underlying causes of defects. That data gives Bolletje valuable insights to continuously improve the process.

Results:

  • 1,000 rusks per minute checked
  • 70% quality improvement through consistent AI inspection
  • Saving 3 FTE of manual monitoring per day

Extractacore - Less waste in processing lettuce heads

At Extractacore, inaccuracy in the existing vision system led to many product losses. By integrating STAQ into the existing line, combined with the Robovision AI platform and a 3D camera, the exact position and orientation can now be determined for each head of lettuce. The Vision AI calculates how to position the knife to accurately remove the core, without cutting away unnecessary parts of the lettuce. The robot performs that operation automatically at a rate of one head per second.

Results:

  • Up to 90% less waste
  • Constant performance and stable 24/7 production
  • Valuable data insights about product variations
  • Scalable to other machines within Extractacore
