After two successful peach seasons with one AI-driven STAQ system, Agrophoenix is now, with the purchase of eight STAQ sorting systems from QING, moving to a fully automated sorting process. As a Greek peach processor and leading player in the fruit processing sector, the company is thus strengthening its position by investing in efficiency, product quality and data-driven production.
Thecollaboration between Agrophoenix and QING underscores a broader trend in the fruit sector: the urgent need for automation to cope with labor shortages, ensure stricter quality requirements and deal with product variation in complex production environments.
The food industry demands smart and flexible solutions. That is why QING developed the AI-driven automation framework STAQ, based on the See, Think, Act principle. With advanced sensors, artificial intelligence and robotics, STAQ systems ensure consistent and accurate quality assessment and sorting. This reduces reliance on manual work and maintains uniform product quality.
"Continuity and success in our sector are only achievable by continuously investing ininnovation and automation. That is why we decided to automate our sorting process with this revolutionary project. Thanks to QING's expertise and their willingness to adapt to the specific characteristics of our industry, this has become a great success that we at Agrophoenix are particularly proud of."- Lazaros Ioannides, Partner & Project Manager Agrophoenix

STAQ will help Agrophoenix further strengthen its position in the international peach market. The systems are designed to process large volumes with high precision, reducing costs, increasing throughput and ensuring consistent product standards. The system learns continuously, identifying deviations faster and making product variation a manageable factor rather than an obstacle. This allows Agrophoenix to produce more reliably and respond more quickly to market demands.
"True progress happens when technology enhances human expertise instead of replacing it. STAQ embodies that philosophy by transforming knowledge and experience into intelligent, adaptive systems that help producers like Agrophoenix grow with confidence, safeguard quality, and remain successful in a rapidly changing world." - Bram de Vrught, Managing Director QING
STAQ demonstrates how advanced automation can reshape fruit processing and set new benchmarks for scalability, efficiency and quality worldwide.
This collaboration between Agrophoenix and QING is designed to inspire the fruit industry to embrace the possibilities of advanced automation. The AI-driven sorting systems are expected to be operational during the 2026 peach season.
