I joined QING in early 2022 as a mechanical engineer and have been working there for almost a year now. Looking back on the past year, I have learned a lot thanks to the great opportunities QING has provided me. They know how to match the right projects with the right engineers, resulting in a good balance between working within your expertise, with a healthy dose of stepping outside your comfort zone.
The projects I had the opportunity to work on are exactly what I was looking for in my job and where my ambitions lie. They are a nice combination of mechanical engineering, project management and communication with the customer. Different techniques, such as Digital Twin and Machine Learning, are combined to achieve the best result. Moreover, no project is the same, which provides a lot of variety and challenge. This makes the work fun!
At QING, I especially learned a lot about the Agile approach to projects. Here we work in a way in which we quickly discover whether or not certain principles work, for example through proof of concepts. Because of the Agile approach, we have regular contact with the customer, which allowed me to develop further in the area of communication.
During my search for a new job, I was looking for a place where I could collaborate a lot with colleagues and also learn from them. At QING, this is not a problem. At my job interview, I immediately felt that QING could offer these opportunities. Now, a year later, I can say with conviction that this feeling was right. The commitment of my colleagues gives me enormous energy and motivation. Everyone is very driven to help each other and together we always achieve a beautiful end result. My colleagues are always ready to help with technical or project-related questions, which ensures that I can learn in a fast and fun way!

One of the projects I had the opportunity to work on is the project for Axxor. In this I was able to do all the work that gives me energy. A problem was experienced in the production process. The first phase was to investigate the cause. Based on my findings, a plan of action was drawn up together with Axxor to solve the problem. Then we started engineering the project. After a phase of engineering and collaboration, we successfully implemented the modifications.
